Dear Members of OCSSA
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa My sincere apologies for the lateness of this letter. Midterms are here and thus it is very difficult in these situations to effectively communicate upon a consistent basis with all members. A few weeks ago we had a very productive meeting. Although there was not as many members as would have been liked, those who did appear contributed to fresh new positive ideas. March 16th is the big day as you all know. There will be another meeting at Carleton University to inform our fellow members there about the Sikh Day festivities. The meeting included the following new ideas: -Creating informational pamphlets so that people of all cultures will understand our faith better -A multimedia slide show which could be done by one of our members. -cultural dances and the situation concerning the potential gatka team coming from waterloo These were just some of the things discussed at this meeting. The meeting at Carleton will have rehras, and then we will discuss the sikh day. In case you want to come it is on the sixth floor of the Loeb building 6 pm. Room number A620, rides can be provided if necessary. I hope all executive will come as for it is important that we all function as a team to get this sikh day “on the road”. As well don’t forget that this Sunday at the Gurdawara there will be a translation session for all those who are interested of the meaning of our holy scriptures. It doesn’t matter if you do not know a word of gurbani, there will be experienced facilitators who understand and be able to help you. I would encourage you all to come. Finally the raincefai kirtan is coming up on the first weekend of reading week. Please contact Kiran Kaur Bhinder (ph.569-7355) for any other questions concerning this event. So if you want to releive your stress from many nights of sleepless studying then, this is a great way to do this. On that note Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa (God created the pure ones ) Sevadar |
